South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem shared her insights on the ideal qualities for a running mate for former President Donald Trump during an interview with Fox News host Lawrence Jones.

“I am fully committed to supporting the team in any way I can. In my opinion, what President Trump needs is someone who isn’t entrenched in the political establishment – someone who brings a background as a business owner,” Noem remarked.

“He requires a vice president who has experience as a commander-in-chief, someone who can make tough decisions when faced with challenges.”

She added, “These are the qualifications he seeks, and he needs assurance that he can rely on someone who trusts him, vice versa, and is ready to stand by his side in the battle.”

Noem was disclosed as one of the potential candidates, along with at least half a dozen others, including three former competitors for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, identified as being on Trump’s shortlist for a running mate during a special episode of Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle.”

“He’s burdened with numerous responsibilities as the President of the United States. He must surround himself with individuals who are staunch advocates for his agenda,” Noem conveyed to Jones.

“So, whoever he selects as his vice president, I’ll stand behind that decision wholeheartedly. I’m committed to being someone who consistently defends and champions his policies,” the governor affirmed.

During the interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump was questioned about approximately six potential running mate options: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Representative Byron Donalds of Florida, and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who switched from Democrat to independent.

“Are all of them under consideration for your shortlist?” host Laura Ingraham inquired of the former president.

“They are,” Trump replied. “Honestly, all of those individuals are good. They’re all good, they’re all solid.”

Trump is known for his impromptu remarks, and numerous figures in the political realm argue that some of the individuals listed are improbable choices for vice president.
