Robert F.Kennedy Jr announces independent run for president against Biden

Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced Monday his intention to run for the White House as an independent candidate. The announcement comes as the Democratic National Committee (DNC) continues to support President Biden.

Kennedy announced on Monday that he was seeking the presidency as an independent candidate, expressing his belief that change was brewing among the American people and that they were ready for their freedom and independence.

“There is something stirring in us that tells us we can set a different course,” Kennedy remarked, emphasizing that Americans were eager to regain their freedom and self-reliance.

“I am here today to formally announce my candidacy as an independent candidate for the presidency of the United States,” Kennedy announced.

“But it doesn’t end there; I’m here to stand with you and collectively herald a new era of freedom for our entire nation,” Kennedy continued. “We declare our independence from organizations that have exerted undue influence over our government.”

Kennedy said that he and the assembled audience were declaring their independence from the two major political parties and what he called the “mercenary media.”

He called for unity across the country and pointed out the divisive tactics used by politicians, who aim to pit citizens against each other as part of a larger scheme.

Initially, Kennedy ran as the Democratic candidate, challenging President Biden within the party. However, the DNC has announced that they will not hold primaries and has declared their support for the incumbent president.

Kennedy revealed in July that his request to the Biden administration for Secret Service protection during the 2024 election had been denied.

Prior to Kennedy’s announcement about an independent or third-party White House bid, rumors circulated online.

In addition, Kennedy has received support from celebrities, most notably hosting a concert fundraiser with rock and roll legend Eric Clapton last month.

At the event, as reported by the campaign, Clapton was able to raise $2.2 million to support Kennedy’s presidential campaign. This infusion of funds would provide Kennedy with a more substantial financial base as he continued his quest for the White House.

Video footage from the concert has been widely circulated online, featuring veteran Yardbirds musician Kennedy giving an electrifying performance in front of the 2024 banner.
