Nikki Haley’s team has signaled its intention to remain in the race for the Republican nomination through Super Tuesday by announcing a significant ad buy across multiple states.

“We understand that the numbers pose a challenge, but this campaign has always been about more than just winning a Republican primary,” remarked Haley’s campaign manager Betsy Ankney during a call with reporters on Friday, as reported by NPR. “Our focus is on identifying the candidate who can secure victory in November, defeat the Democrats, and ultimately steer our country back on course.”

As voters cast their ballots in Nikki Haley’s home state of South Carolina, former President Donald Trump maintains a significant lead, while Haley aims to demonstrate her competitiveness with a strong showing. Pre-primary polling suggests Trump holds a commanding double-digit advantage.

In the days leading up to the primary, Haley reiterated her commitment to remaining in the race regardless of the outcome, affirming, “I refuse to quit.” She emphasized, “On Sunday, I’ll still be in the presidential race. I’m here to stay.”

In a recent interview with NPR, Nikki Haley reiterated her apprehensions about Donald Trump’s presidency, stating that his tenure brought “chaos” and “division.” She emphasized her concerns about Joe Biden potentially becoming president, indicating that she harbors even more reservations about his leadership.

Haley’s campaign has garnered substantial financial support, with approximately 5,200 donors who had previously contributed to President Biden’s 2020 election campaign. This includes over 1,600 donors who donated more than $500,000 to Biden, as reported by Politico.

Haley’s campaign has emphasized the significant support it has received, noting that in January alone, it received “large dollar” donations of $200 or more from over 55,000 individuals, demonstrating widespread backing. Additionally, Haley has attracted support from more than 10,000 donors who had previously supported Trump in 2020.

Haley’s steadfast determination to stay in the race has reportedly angered the Trump campaign. A memo from the Trump campaign suggested that Haley would face a significant defeat in South Carolina, describing it as “an impending disaster” and predicting the end of her campaign.

Lara Trump, daughter-in-law to former President Trump, criticized Nikki Haley in an interview with US Newzs Digital, questioning her decision to remain in the race despite what she called “clear” evidence that Haley has “no viable path forward.”

“Why continue in the race? Why oppose the Republican nominee, the individual who currently leads the party?” Lara Trump questioned. She also insinuated that Haley might be banking on Trump’s legal challenges to impede his ability to run.

“I will say that any individual who fails to stand up and push back against such actions, clearly identifying it as what it is – election interference – is not fit to run for President of the United States,” Lara Trump asserted.

Nikki Haley’s campaign team did not respond to a request for comment from US Newzs Digital at the time of publication.
