‘Friday Night Lights’ Star Jesse Plemons Did Intermittent Fasting to Lose Weight
Jesse Plemons weight loss secret is revealed: he didn’t lose a significant amount of weight due to Ozempic.
The 36-year-old actor said he started trying to be healthier when a lot of people started using Ozempic.
“It’s really bad luck that I tried to get healthier when everyone else was using Ozempic,” Plemons told the Los Angeles Times. “But it doesn’t matter. Everyone’s going to think I used Ozempic anyway.”
“But what happened was just getting older, and I don’t like going into details because then it becomes a big deal. But there was a part where I thought, in my mind, I couldn’t picture him being the same size as I was.”
Jesse Plemons shared that he lost weight by practicing intermittent fasting. This method involves alternating between periods of eating and not eating.
CNN will be fair to Trump at the first presidential debate, Trump predicts
“Several people mentioned intermittent fasting to me, so I decided to try it out, and I was surprised at how quickly it worked,” Plemons explained to the outlet.
“So, I lost some weight before I started that routine and then felt like I was getting into the groove. I started feeling better, and something changed in my mindset,” he added. “I just kind of got control of it.”
The “Friday Night Lights” star isn’t the only celebrity who has avoided the weight loss drug.
Ricki Lake, aged 55, disclosed that she declined to take Ozempic despite a doctor recommending it to her.
“The doctor was recommending it for people struggling with weight,” Lake recalled in an interview with “Good Morning America.” “He told me I wouldn’t succeed without it. I enjoy challenging and proving people wrong. So, it frustrated me. I was hesitant and wanted to try managing it on my own.”
Ricki Lake also used intermittent fasting to help her lose over 30 pounds. The “Hairspray” actress and her husband also followed a keto diet and incorporated exercise into their routine.
“This is a lifestyle change,” Lake explained on “GMA.” “I’ve made this my job, and it’s become my joy. Like, I just … I love it. I think it’s safe to say I’m in the best shape of my life.”
“I mean, this is what happiness looks like. I could honestly cry. I’m just so happy. So happy.”
