Haley says US will have 'female president' either herself or Kamala Harris

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley suggested during a Thursday interview with CNN anchor Jake Tapper that there will soon be a female president, either herself or Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Donald Trump will not win the general election,” Haley asserted to Tapper. “You can have him win any primary you want, he will not win a general election.”

“We will have a female President of the United States; it will either be me or [Vice President Kamala] Harris.”

Haley’s remarks suggest her belief that President Biden may either not seek re-election or may not complete his term, potentially leading to Harris assuming the presidency.

Despite trailing significantly behind Trump in her home state of South Carolina, Haley has not yet secured victory in a Republican primary.

Regardless, the former U.N. ambassador asserts that she is the only viable candidate in the general election.

“If Donald Trump is the nominee, you can mark my words, he will not win a general election,” Haley stated in the interview.

Haley has consistently pledged to remain in the Republican presidential nomination race at least through March 5, when 15 states hold contests on Super Tuesday.

'Joe Biden is very much alive,' Kamala Harris says ahead of 2024

She faces an extremely challenging path to secure the nomination against the former president, who continues to lead the GOP race decisively as he seeks a third consecutive term in the White House.

“We are concentrating on each state as it comes. Currently, our focus is on South Carolina this Saturday. After that, it will be Michigan, followed by the Super Tuesday states, and we’ll proceed from there,” Haley stated in an interview with Fox News Digital on Wednesday.
