Trump laments being ‘stuck’ off campaign trail due to ‘corrupt’ AG Letitia James

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday, saying she was “stuck” in New York City over civil fraud charges.

Trump said he would love to campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire, or elsewhere, but he can’t because of a “corrupt attorney general.” Trump attended the first three days of the trial.

“I’m here — stuck here and I can’t campaign,” Trump told reporters outside the courtroom. “I want to be in Iowa right now. I want to be in New Hampshire South Carolina Ohio or many other places. Trump rages at Judge Engoron over low valuation of his properties, says state has ‘no case’

Trump's Manhattan fraud

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday expressed anger at the court’s low valuation of his assets during the third day of his New York City civil fraud trial.

Judge Arthur Engoran attacked Trump with reporters outside the courtroom for listing his Mar-a-Lago resort for $18 million, which Trump argued was “50 to 100 times more than that” in real value.

“The smallest house in Palm Beach is probably worth $50 million, and [Mar-a-Lago] is the biggest, best anywhere in the country. So they brought it down to $18 million, and I overestimated it,” Trump said.

“And by the way, my financial documents are so much lower than my actual worth that no one knows,” he added. “But the financial documents we gave the bank were far below my actual net worth.”

Trump cited the New York Law Journal, which said “basically” James and the state had “no case” against him.

However, he said Engoran would take his side in the case because he was a “Democrat judge” and had “no choice.”
