Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are seeking advice from other NFL WAGs on how to handle their public relationship.
Camille Kostek, longtime girlfriend of Rob Gronkowski, shared insights on the challenges of dating in the spotlight. Gronkowski, a former tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots, retired from football in 2022.
Kostek, who is a Sports Illustrated model, emphasized the importance of understanding that the couple and their close circles know each other best. She offered her perspective during an interview with Fox News Digital at the Sports Illustrated The Party event in Las Vegas before Super Bowl LVIII.
Kostek, 31, further commented, “It’s about tuning out the distractions from those who critique your character or your relationship or try to dictate its timeline. That’s been the most challenging aspect.”
“So, my main advice is to tune out the noise,” Kostek continued. “You know yourselves best, be together, and find your peace. People will always have something to say.”
Kostek and Gronkowski have been in a relationship since 2015.
“Being a strong support system for each other is crucial,” remarked Nicole Williams English, a Sports Illustrated model.
Nicole is married to former NFL defensive end Larry English. Larry’s football journey began at Northern Illinois University before being drafted by the San Diego Chargers. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, retiring from the sport in 2014.
“During his playing days, if he had a tough game and faced criticism on social media, it could affect him,” she recalled. “So, it’s important to uplift each other and offer support when needed. Being there to encourage, lend a listening ear, and genuinely root for each other is key.”
Christen Harper, engaged to Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, shared insights on navigating the highs and lows of the NFL season. They met when Goff played for the Los Angeles Rams, where he spent his initial five seasons. They started dating in 2019, the same year Goff and the Rams reached the Super Bowl.
“I think it’s about embracing the ups and downs, realizing the uniqueness of what we do, and not taking it too seriously,” Harper told Fox News Digital. “Football isn’t everything. What truly matters is life and the people in it.”
Swift and Kelce share a similar narrative. They revealed their relationship during the Kansas City Chiefs’ season, with Swift attending the Sept. 24 game against the Chicago Bears.
The renowned singer witnessed Kelce’s team advance to the Super Bowl – and emerge victorious.
The Kansas City Chiefs won the game on February 11th after starting the final play on the 13-yard line, which is Swift’s lucky number. Kelce and the pop star were seen sharing a tender moment as friends and family gathered on the field for the postgame celebration.
Amid the crowd, Kelce found Swift and they embraced, sharing a hug and a kiss. Swift placed her hands on the tight end’s face during the affectionate moment.
