A teenager who identified as transgender and confessed to planning a shooting at three schools has been sentenced to six years in prison.

The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday that William Whitworth, who was in the process of transitioning to female and went by the name “Lilly” at the time of arrest, received credit for 306 days served since her arrest in March 2023.

Given Whitworth’s transgender status, it remains unclear whether she will be placed in a male or female correctional facility.

The charges against her include two counts of first-degree criminal attempt to commit murder, criminal mischief, menacing, and interference with staff, faculty, or students at educational institutions.

In April 2023, deputies from the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the Town of Elbert, Colorado.

A family member reported to 911 that her “sister” had threatened a school shooting and had anger issues. Upon arriving at the cluttered and unsanitary house, deputies found Whitworth’s room filled with trash and holes in the walls.

During questioning, Whitworth admitted to planning a school shooting, with a focus on her former middle school, Timberview. Her intended targets also included Prairie Hills Elementary and Pine Creek High School, all located in Colorado Springs.

Whitworth allegedly created a disturbing manifesto containing “schizophrenic rants” mentioning serial killers, politicians, entertainers, and the Columbine shooters, as well as former President Trump.

Following the discovery, Whitworth was arrested by authorities. The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has not responded to US Newzs Digital’s request for comment.
