The past two and a half years under the Biden Administration have had detrimental effects on our nation’s national security, economic strength, and public safety.
Since taking office, the Biden Administration’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan resulted in the loss of American lives and the abandonment of $80 billion worth of military equipment, which is now being utilized by the Taliban. This disgraceful episode in American history has sent a message to potential adversaries, including China, that the Biden Administration lacks the desire to uphold the United States’ position as a global power, thereby creating a leadership vacuum.
The Biden Administration’s handling of the southern border has led to a disastrous situation. Daily occurrences of death, rape, and violence have become commonplace, allowing cartels to profit immensely from the illegal drug trade and human trafficking. The Biden border policies have contributed to the transformation of parts of Mexico into gang-ridden territories.
Excessive spending and measures targeting the American energy industry have rattled the U.S. economy, resulting in the highest level of inflation in 40 years. The economy has also experienced rapid interest rate hikes, posing further challenges.
The American people and small businesses face increased threats from rising crime on our city streets. Additionally, the Biden White House continues to be embroiled in scandalous controversies. The actions of the Biden DOJ, FBI, IRS, and SEC have raised concerns and instilled fear in the hearts of citizens. Remarkably, the Biden campaign slogan for 2024 is “Let’s Finish the Job.”
Our country cannot endure another four years of the Biden Administration. We must correct our course. Numerous ambassadors and foreign ministers have expressed directly to me the need for the United States to lead, to exhibit strength, and most importantly, to rectify our trajectory. The vast majority of Pennsylvanians, whom I represent as the voice of the Ninth Congressional District, consistently echo this sentiment.
There is a better path forward. With the right leadership, we can restore our standing within three to four years. In 2019, the world experienced a period of peace, a favorable trade agreement was signed with China, and Russia was kept in check. The signing of the Abraham Accords marked the most comprehensive peace treaty ever achieved in the Middle East. ISIS was eliminated, our military was strong and proud, and the creation of the Space Force became a vital addition to our national defense.
The southern border was secure and orderly. The United States achieved not just energy independence but dominance. Gasoline prices averaged $2.38 per gallon. Inflation was insignificant, and interest rates stood at 2.9%. Wages were rising, and taxes were reduced. A renewed sense of patriotism permeated the nation, inspiring the majority of Americans. We can reclaim this position once again. That is why the only solution for a four-year turnaround in 2024, to truly make America as great as it needs to be, is to elect Donald J. Trump. Former President Trump has demonstrated the effectiveness of his policies, plans, and execution, benefiting the vast majority, if not all, Americans. President Trump remains free from special interest influence, with his sole focus dedicated to the United States. Like Reagan, he understands that a strong America is vital for the well-being of the entire free world.
I have had the opportunity to know President Trump personally. I firmly believe in my heart and mind that his sole dedication lies in strengthening America.
Recently, I accompanied President Trump to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Upon arrival, he was delighted to see the longshoremen having dinner at the club following their golf event. He invited me to join him in a room filled with over 200 longshoremen, and the atmosphere erupted with excitement. Everyone stood up, chanting slogans like “USA, USA” and “Four More Years.”
Many in the room were likely Democrats, but they were fervently cheering not just for Donald Trump as an individual, but for their country to be set on the right course. This is why I, along with many of my congressional colleagues, have endorsed and supported Donald J. Trump for President.
