Tear gas was fired in response to the protest near the embassy. About 1,000 people, including Hezbollah supporters, gathered at the US Embassy in Beirut following a rocket attack on a Gaza hospital, a source told US Newzs Digital.

The protest was sparked by a statement from Hezbollah calling on people in the Arab world to demonstrate in front of Israeli embassies.

However, since there is no Israeli embassy in Beirut, protesters have directed their actions toward the U.S. and French embassies in what they perceive as support for Israel.

Protesters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails during the demonstrations, resulting in a fire near the US embassy in Beirut.

In a separate incident, Jordanian protesters breached security barriers and attempted to approach the Israeli embassy in Amman, Jordan. Dozens of demonstrators approached the embassy building, according to Agence France-Presse.

Security tear gas was reportedly fired at the embassy to disperse the protesters.

At least 500 people died at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, according to Palestinian officials.

The IDF claimed the strike was due to militants firing a rocket into Gaza.

IDF officials reported, “Analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that terrorists in Gaza fired a barrage of rockets that were close to Al-Ahli [Baptist] Hospital in Gaza at the time of the damage. Intelligence from multiple sources is in our hands that Islamic Jihad was responsible for the failure of the rocket launch that hit the hospital in Gaza.”

Outside the Israeli embassy in Amman, police vehicles were used to set up barricades.

Jordan’s King Abdullah expressed his views on the bombing, calling it a “massacre” and a “war crime”.
