Democrats told us Biden was razor-sharp. Let’s wait until Kamala Harris spins America

After Biden’s announcement, VP Kamala Harris will now be painted as some combination of FDR, JFK, and Maya Angelou all in one

For years, Democrats and the left-leaning media have staunchly defended Joe Biden’s mental acuity, dismissing conservative criticisms as mere manipulations and “cheap fakes.” Now, with Biden stepping down, Kamala Harris is poised to receive the same treatment.

President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race has left him politically vulnerable, revealing the truth that many suspected: the emperor had no clothes. As Biden exits, the Democratic Party is crafting a new narrative for Harris, preparing to crown her at next month’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Harris, who barely managed a 3 percent approval rating during the 2020 primaries, is now being positioned as a blend of FDR, JFK, and Maya Angelou. However, her low poll numbers reflect a lack of substantial accomplishments, despite holding impressive titles.

From 2004 to 2017, Harris served as District Attorney of San Francisco and Attorney General of California. San Francisco now struggles with rampant crime and open-air drug use, while California sees a mass exodus of residents, including Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Her tenure in the Senate is marked by a contentious moment during Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings, but little else of note.

Kamala Harris spins America

The Democrats believe Harris’ experience in the executive branch over the past three years qualifies her for the presidency. They argue that Biden’s achievements are unmatched in modern history and that Harris has been a dedicated student of his policies. However, Biden’s approval ratings tell a different story, undermining the narrative of his effectiveness.

The comparison of Harris to Scottie Pippen and Biden to Michael Jordan is generous. Many view their administration as less competent than the comedic duo Abbott and Costello.

As Border Czar, Harris has overseen a crisis, with millions of illegal immigrants crossing the Rio Grande, and approval ratings for border management plummeting. She failed to defend border agents falsely accused of whipping Haitian migrants, further damaging her credibility.

In foreign policy, Harris is expected to continue the administration’s controversial decisions, including the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and the mixed messaging regarding the war in Gaza. Her alignment with figures like Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan ensures a continuation of current policies.

Despite this, the DNC is spinning a narrative of Harris as a seasoned and intelligent leader, supported by fresh donor dollars. However, the American public is skeptical. Had Biden stepped down earlier, Harris might have had time to prove herself, but now it feels like a rushed attempt to present her as a viable candidate.

The American people, feeling betrayed by the administration’s perceived incompetence and dishonesty, are not easily swayed. Like the child in Hans Christian Andersen’s tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” they see through the facade.

Biden wasn’t the energetic leader portrayed by his supporters; he was often disengaged. Harris, aware of the reality, now faces the challenge of convincing voters of her capabilities. Even if she dons a metaphorical Captain America costume, her lack of significant achievements and association with Biden’s failures remain visible.

Despite these challenges, Harris might still be the Democrats’ best option for 2024. Whether she can overcome the skepticism and unify the party remains to be seen.
