Donald Trump is pushing for Lara Trump to be made the RNC’s co-chair
Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law is pledging that if she is appointed as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), all of the committee’s finances will be dedicated to securing his re-election.
Lara Trump, who has been advocated by the former president as a potential co-chair of the RNC, stated to reporters on Tuesday that “every single penny” would be allocated to the campaign effort under her leadership.
“The RNC needs to become the most efficient and effective political machine we’ve ever witnessed in American history,” Lara Trump told Newsmax. “That is the objective over the next nine-and-a-half months. If I am chosen for this role, I can guarantee you that there will no longer be any wasteful spending, such as the exorbitant amounts of money previously spent on flowers.”
“Every single penny will be directed towards the primary and sole objective of the RNC – which is electing Donald J. Trump as President of the United States and safeguarding this nation,” she emphasized.
As Trump advances towards securing the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, he has been intensifying efforts to assert control and appoint loyalists within the national party committee.
Last week, Trump disclosed intentions for his daughter-in-law to run as co-chair of the RNC.
“Lara is an incredibly skilled communicator and is committed to the principles of MAGA,” the former president stated. “She has expressed her desire to take on this challenge and would excel at it!”
Lara Trump is married to Eric Trump, the second son of the former president.
As Trump aims to reclaim his former position in the White House, he emphasized on Monday the importance of the RNC being a strong ally during the election.
“This entails ensuring fair and transparent elections nationwide, mobilizing voters in all areas – even in challenging regions – and collaborating with my campaign, as the Republican presumptive nominee for President, to secure victory in this election and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” he declared.
