In March 2020, Prince William assumed the role of Patron for Londonโ€™s Air Ambulance Charity after backing their 30th Anniversary Campaign. Before this, William served as an air ambulance pilot for the East Anglia Air Ambulance from 2015 to 2017.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a light-hearted moment about their renowned friend’s surprise appearance at the charitable event on X, formerly Twitter: “Fancy seeing you here, @TomCruise!”

In another post, they expressed their appreciation: “Celebrating the heroes of the @LDNairamb. Their speed, expertise, and unwavering dedication make the city safer.”

Earlier in the morning, the Prince of Wales resumed his duties for the first time since his father’s cancer diagnosis was disclosed. It was also the first royal engagement for Prince William since his wife Kate Middleton’s scheduled abdominal surgery.

William hosted an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, honoring outstanding achievements across six orders of chivalry and two orders of merit. Recipients were appointed as officers of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire or officers of the Order of the British Empire.

Patricia Spruce, a nurse who received an MBE, recounted her experiences from the event, including a conversation with the Prince of Wales.

“Prince William mentioned that Katherine had two Filipino nurses caring for her, and they were incredible and compassionate,” Spruce wrote on LinkedIn.

On Monday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that a “separate issue of concern” was discovered during King Charles’ recent procedure for “benign prostate enlargement” at the London Clinic. The palace stated in a release that “subsequent diagnostic tests have revealed a form of cancer.”

King Charles was “advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties” while undergoing a series of “regular treatments,” as stated by the palace. The nature of His Majesty’s cancer diagnosis remains undisclosed.

In addition to Prince Harry and Prince William, the monarch reportedly informed his siblings โ€” Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward โ€” about his diagnosis before it was publicly disclosed, as reported by People magazine.

The Duke of Sussex flew into town from California to visit his father on Tuesday and departed the country the following day.

One day before announcing his cancer diagnosis, the king made his first public appearance since undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate. The British monarch, accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, waved to well-wishers outside St. Mary Magdalene Church near Sandringham.

On January 17, King Charles III underwent a “corrective procedure” for his enlarged prostate as scheduled. The palace later confirmed that the surgery had been successful. “His Majesty is doing quite well,” stated a royal source to US Newzs Digital.

Last week, Kate returned home after nearly a two-week hospital stay for abdominal surgery.

Kensington Palace shared the news in a statement obtained by US Newzs Digital, adding that the Princess of Wales is “making good progress.”

“The Prince and Princess extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, particularly the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided,” the statement read. “The Wales family remains appreciative of the well wishes they have received from across the globe.”

Upon the advice of her doctors, the princess will refrain from resuming her public duties until Easter, palace officials confirmed.
