After abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton breaks her silence

Kate Middleton has recently spoken out after undergoing abdominal surgery and being hospitalized, ending weeks of speculation about her health.

In a post on social media, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, expressed gratitude to her supporters. The post included a photo of her seated with her children: Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte. The picture was taken by Prince William, although the exact date is unknown.

“Thank you for your kind wishes and ongoing support over the past two months,” she wrote.

“Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. C,” she added. It’s worth noting that the United Kingdom celebrates Mother’s Day on a different date than the United States.

Middleton’s statement comes at a significant time, as there had been mounting conspiracy theories surrounding her surgery and whereabouts after she was not seen publicly since December.

A spokesperson for Middleton previously addressed the rumors, stating to Fox News Digital at the end of February, “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the Princess’ recovery, and we’d only be providing significant updates. The guidance in January stands that the Princess would be recuperating at home in Windsor.”

Middleton’s first public appearance was captured by photographers last week when she was seen being driven by her mother, Carole Middleton.

On January 17, the palace initially announced that she had been hospitalized.

“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery,” the statement said.

Recommendations from her medical team suggested that the princess would probably not resume public duties until Easter, which falls later this month.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the original statement continued. “The Princess of Wales wishes to apologize to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible as soon as possible.”

Middleton returned home after nearly two weeks on January 29.

“The Prince and Princess wish to extend a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided,” the statement read. “The Wales family remains grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Her stay at the clinic coincided with that of King Charles III, who was undergoing treatment for his prostate. The palace later revealed that during his procedure, cancer had been detected.
