As part of this investigation, Qamar issued a subpoena for financial records related to a specific bank account and obtained records showing two wires originating in Beijing and connected to BHR Partners.

BHR Partners is a joint venture between Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca and Chinese investment firm Bohai Capital. It is a Beijing-based private equity firm backed by the Chinese government through Bank of China Limited. Hunter Biden reportedly serves on BHR Partners’ board of directors.

  • The first wire transfer dated July 26, 2019, was $10,000 and Ms. It came from a man named Wang Jin. On the website for BHR Partners Ms. Wang Jin was noted to be listed, but it remains unclear whether the wire transfer originated from the same Wang Jin.
  • A second wire transfer dated August 2, 2019, was $250,000 and Ms. Li Xiang Sheng, also known as Jonathan Li, is the CEO of BHR Partners along with Tan Ling. In this context, the committee is working to identify the role of MLA Tan Ling.

Both wire transfers were made to Robert Hunter Biden with the beneficiary address listed as “1209 Barley Mill Rd.” Wilmington, Delaware, is the primary residence of President Biden.

The House Oversight Committee, headed by Chairman James Comer, obtained the bank records as part of its investigation. They allege that the Biden family and their business associates received millions of dollars from individuals in Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Kazakhstan during the Obama administration.

According to information obtained by Fox News Digital, a congressional committee investigating the Biden family’s foreign business dealings has records indicating that from 2014 to 2019, the Bidens and their associates received $24 million in foreign payments. This figure includes $15 million that went to the Bidens and an additional $9 million received by their business associates. It is noteworthy that this amount is 4 million dollars more than previously known.

It is important to note that beneficiary addresses in wire transfers may be the address associated with the recipient’s account or the address listed by the sender of the wire. However, the address in this case remains unclear based on the wire records listed.

Hunter Biden lived at the Biden family home in Wilmington at various times in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It was not specified whether he was living in the home at the time of the wire transfers in July and August 2019.

The transfers in question were sent months after then-Vice President Joe Biden announced his 2020 presidential campaign. In August 2019, Joe Biden stated that he had “never had a discussion with my son or my brother or anyone involved in their business, period.”

Regarding Jonathan Lee, there was testimony from Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, as part of the House Oversight Committee’s investigation. Archer noted that Joe Biden had a coffee meeting with BHR CEO Jonathan Lee in Beijing. Archer testified that Joe Biden wrote a college recommendation letter for Lee’s daughter to Georgetown University. Additionally, Hunter Biden reportedly put his father on speakerphone for at least one call with Lee, and they met for coffee.

Furthermore, an exclusive report from Fox News Digital in 2022 revealed that Joe Biden had written a college recommendation letter for Lee’s son to Brown University.

James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, emphasized the importance of bank records in their investigation, saying, “Bank records don’t lie, but President Joe Biden does.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer commented on the revelations, saying, “In 2020, Joe Biden told Americans that his family never received money from China. We already proved that false earlier this year, and now we know two. Wires originating from Beijing linked Joe Biden’s Wilmington home to the United States. Listed as a beneficiary address while running for president. When Joe Biden was vice president, he spoke on the phone and had coffee with Jonathan Lee in Beijing and later wrote a college letter recommending his children.”

Comer expressed concern that Joe Biden has abused public office for his family’s financial gain, posing a threat to national security. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability regarding Biden’s finances.

It’s worth noting that even though Hunter Biden received more than a quarter of a million dollars in the summer of 2019 from people connected to BHR, his lawyer at the time, George Mesires, classified him as a board member focused on seeking Hunter’s role at the company. Ways to attract Chinese capital to international markets.

Hunter Biden’s attorney at the time, George Messires, stated on October 13, 2019, that Hunter’s position on the BHR board was unpaid. He explained that Hunter had committed to invest approximately $420,000 to acquire a 10% equity position in BHR in October 2017, which he still held at the time. Measures clarified that since no distributions have been made to BHR shareholders since Hunter acquired his equity interest, Hunter received no compensation for serving on BHR’s board of directors and received no return on his investment. Hunter Biden resigned from the BHR board at the end of October 2019.

Notably, the White House, lawyers for Hunter Biden and George Messrs did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. The White House has consistently maintained that President Biden was “never in business with his son.”

The subpoenaed financial records come amid House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
