Hunter Biden, 53, the son of President Joe Biden, was deposed Friday in Little Rock, Arkansas in his fiery child support case.

Lunden Roberts, the mother of 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts, reached an agreement with the president’s son in 2020 regarding paternity and child support payments. Roberts gave birth to Navy in August 2018, filing a paternity suit less than a year later.
A judge ruled in January 2020 that Biden was the Navy’s father “with scientific certainty.”
Roberts, a former stripper, was present at the courtroom session on Friday – a move that a Daily Mail source described as “highly unusual”.

“Attending Hunter’s deposition was a strategic choice and probably a head game,” the source told the Daily Mail. “And why not? Most people have a hard time being unreal about a person in their presence.”
Biden was paying his mother $20,000 a month, which he wanted to reduce. Last month, the judge faulted both sides for making such slow progress on the years-long legal dispute.
“I hope this case moves forward,” said Independence County Circuit Judge Holly Meyer. “So, get it done.”
Mayer criticized Biden’s team for heavily redacting files on his financial history, saying “the ability to redact was somewhat abused” in May’s investigation.
Roberts’ legal team is also fighting for the child to use Biden’s last name.
“Biden’s name is now synonymous with being well-educated, successful, financially and politically powerful,” Roberts’ lawyers wrote in a motion in December. Biden’s lawyer demanded proof that the name change was in the best interest of the child.
Roberts’ attorneys filed a contempt petition against Biden, claiming he was dishonest about his income.
According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the mayor ordered both parties to appear in court on July 10, giving Biden a chance to address questions about his finances and defend himself against the charges.
Roberts’ attorney, Clint Lancaster, said he is seeking criminal contempt against Biden, meaning the president’s son could face prison time, according to the Democrat-Gazette.
