Biden is facing deposition in a lawsuit from store owner John Paul Isaacs
Hunter Biden was deposed Thursday in a lawsuit filed against him by the owner of a Delaware laptop repair shop.
Around 8:54 a.m. Thursday morning, a pair of black SUVs pulled up to the building where the interview was to take place. Biden exited the first vehicle and staggered into the building while a female bodyguard followed.
John Paul MacIsaac sued Biden in October 2022 in Delaware for defamation. Biden filed a countersuit in March alleging Mack improperly distributed Isaac Biden’s personal data and charged him with six counts of invasion of privacy.
Mac Isaac claimed in 2019 that a man believed to be Biden left three laptops at his store.
The customer did not return the laptop within 90 days and Mac Isaac was unable to contact him. MacIsaac said he first searched emails by keyword in June or July 2019.
Mac Isaac’s lawsuit is one of a series of legal issues facing both Hunter and President Biden. The president denied any involvement in his son’s business dealings in China on Wednesday, amid reports that his son’s text messages indicated the president was in the room with him as he held talks with a Chinese businessman.
The denial relates to a text message from Hunter to Harvest Fund Management CEO Henry Zhao, alleging that Hunter was with his father and pressured Zhao to fulfill the promise.
“I am sitting here with my father, we want to understand why the commitment was not fulfilled,” Hunter wrote in a WhatsApp message to Zhao, according to the documents. “Tell the director I want to fix this before I do it, and now that means tonight,” Hunter wrote.

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved other than you, Zhang, or the Chairman, I’ll make sure of my ability to hold on to the person sitting next to me and everyone he knows forever. Anger that you’ll regret not following my lead,” he continued.
It’s unknown how long Hunter’s deposition will last Thursday.
The Justice Department announced earlier this month that Hunter pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax as part of a deal expected to keep him out of prison in an unrelated case.
The president’s son also agreed to enter into an early diversion agreement on a separate charge of possession of a firearm by a person who unlawfully uses or is addicted to a controlled substance.
