Giants releasing Kenny Golladay after two wasted seasons

The Giants are releasing wide receiver Kenny Golladay, The Post’s Paul Schwartz confirmed.

The 29-year-old wideout will be released on March 15, which marks the first day of the new league year — and by doing so, the Giants will save $6.7 million against their salary cap.

Golladay signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Giants in March 2021 after four seasons with the Lions. Golladay had two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in Detroit, including a 2019 Pro Bowl season.

However, he was a complete disappointment with the Giants. He had 43 catches over two seasons for which the Giants paid him $36 million. Golladay was phased out of the offense this season, even as the Giants dealt with injuries at the receiver position.

Golladay was selected by Detroit in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He led the league in receiving touchdowns with the Lions in 2019.
