The bill would rescind visas of anyone embracing terrorist views
Two Republican lawmakers, Representatives Tom Tiffany from Wisconsin and Andy Ogles from Tennessee, plan to introduce legislation called the Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act, or GAZA Act.
The proposed legislation would prevent the U.S. from granting visas to people holding Palestinian passports displaced by the conflict in Israel. The government, specifically the Biden administration, aims to block it.

Lawmakers are concerned about President Biden’s abuse of parole and visa regulations, which could lead to the influx of unrecognized Palestinian refugees into American communities.
They are drawing parallels to the situation with uninvestigated Afghan evacuations, expressing their intent to prevent a similar scenario from occurring. Representative Tiffany shared her thoughts on the legislation in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The proposed bill, known as the GAZA Act, would not only bar the entry of Palestinians with passports into the United States but also include provisions that would prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from using its parole program to allow Palestinians entry.
According to the report, experts estimate that there could be as many as one million Palestinian refugees as a result of the conflict and bombing in Gaza.
Representative Tiffany stated that she introduced the Gaza Act with the primary goal of protecting US national security.
In line with the legislation, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida also announced his intention to introduce a bill designed to force the Biden administration to revoke visas for foreign nationals who endorse or encourage terrorist activities.
Senator Marco Rubio, in a press release, emphasized that the United States is known for its generosity, but cannot allow foreign nationals who endorse terrorist groups like Hamas and participate in demonstrations calling for an “intifada” to enter the country. He argued that the Biden administration has both the authority and duty under current law to immediately identify, deport, and deport foreign nationals who have supported terrorist organizations and, in some cases, even perpetrated acts of violence against Israeli citizens.
The Republican initiatives are a response to calls from some Democrats, such as Representative Jamal Bowman of New York, who have urged the U.S. to allow refugees from Gaza. argued for. It is worth noting, however, that even among Democrats there are concerns about admitting people with ties to Hamas into the country.
In response to the situation, spokesman Jamal Bowman emphasized that both the international community and the United States should be ready to accept refugees from Palestine. However, he emphasized the importance of careful vetting to ensure that no members of Hamas or other malicious individuals are admitted.
US Newzs Digital reached out for a comment, and a spokesperson for the White House National Security Council emphasized that all refugees undergo thorough screening and vetting procedures before entering the United States. In addition, the spokesperson stated that at the moment, there are no plans for new visa programs.
