During Wednesday’s press conference, the White House once again declined to provide any response to inquiries concerning President Biden’s seventh grandchild, which led to further criticism on social media.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was specifically questioned about a recent article in The New York Times that focused on Navy Joan Roberts, a 4-year-old girl, and whether the president considers her his granddaughter.

Catherine Lucey from the Wall Street Journal asked, “There was a story in The New York Times about Hunter Biden’s daughter in Arkansas. Does the president acknowledge this little girl as his granddaughter?”

“I don’t have any information to provide at this time,” responded Jean-Pierre. This was the second occasion where Jean-Pierre declined to address a question concerning Biden’s grandchild, resulting in significant criticism on Twitter.

Mark Hemingway, a senior writer at Real Clear Investigations, remarked, “The Bidens put up a Christmas stocking with the dog’s name, yet the President refuses to acknowledge his own granddaughter.”

The Spectator contributing editor Stephen Miller joked, “You can just feel the empathy and decency oozing.”

“‘Of course he does, and he loves her very much.’ Why didn’t she just say that?” Yours truly, staff writer Isak Schur asked.

Conservative writer Carmine Sabia wrote. “Karine Jean-Pierre won’t comment on whether or not President Joe Biden has admitted to having his own granddaughter. That tells you everything you need to know about the man.”

“Dignity status: Restored,” Washington Free Beacon reporter Joe Gabriel Simonson quipped.

Jean-Pierre had previously been questioned about Biden’s grandchild in May when Hunter Biden was involved in a paternity case in Arkansas concerning Roberts. Reporters inquired about the monitoring of the situation and why Biden had not yet acknowledged the child.

“I cannot provide any comments on that matter at this moment,” responded Jean-Pierre.

A reporter from the press corps could be heard asking, “Why not?” in response.

According to the New York Post, Lunden Alexis Roberts, aged 31, met Hunter Biden while working as a dancer at a gentlemen’s club in the District of Columbia. Hunter was in a relationship with Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother, Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III, at the time.

Although Biden has mentioned his grandchildren on numerous occasions during public events, he has not acknowledged or addressed Roberts, maintaining that he has “six” grandchildren. The New York Times also reported that Biden’s aides have been instructed to publicly state that the president has only six grandchildren.

In a court filing on Thursday, Hunter agreed to provide his daughter with some of his paintings, while Roberts agreed to withdraw her counterclaim seeking to change their child’s last name to “Biden.”
