President Biden on Wednesday denied any involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China.

A reporter pressed Biden about recent reports that his son’s text messages indicated the president was in the room with him while he negotiated with another party.

“President Biden, how involved were you in your son’s Chinese shakedown text messages? Did you sit there? Did you participate?” New York Post reporter Steven Nelson asked.

“No, I’m not, and I – no!” Biden shouted in response.

The denial relates to a text message from Hunter to Harvest Fund Management CEO Henry Zhao, alleging that Hunter was with his father and pressured Zhao to fulfill the promise.

“I am sitting here with my father, we want to understand why the commitment was not fulfilled,” Hunter wrote in a WhatsApp message to Zhao, according to the documents. “Tell the director I want to fix this before I do it, and now that means tonight,” Hunter wrote.

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I’m sure between the guy sitting next to me and everyone he knows and my ability to hold forever. Revenge that you’ll regret not following my direction,” Hunter said. He said.

The whistleblower’s testimony in the Hunter investigation came to light nearly a year after reports surfaced of an alleged voicemail from President Biden to Hunter in which he discussed his son’s international business dealings.

“Hey Paul, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 Wednesday night. If you have a chance, call me. Nothing urgent—I just want to talk to you,” Biden was heard saying in a voicemail from 2018. “The article I released online, which will be printed in the Times tomorrow, is good. I think you’re in the clear.”

The Justice Department announced earlier this month that Hunter had pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax as part of a deal expected to keep him out of prison.

The president’s son also agreed to enter into an early diversion agreement on a separate charge of possession of a firearm by a person who unlawfully uses or is addicted to a controlled substance.
