Former President Trump expressed uncertainty about Nikki Haley’s commitment to the presidential race after securing another victory in the Republican primary on Saturday night. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Trump stated that his primary focus is defeating President Biden in the upcoming November general election.

The Fox News Decision Desk declared Trump the winner of the South Carolina Republican Primary shortly after the polls closed on Saturday night. Trump’s victory over former two-term South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in her home state brings him closer to securing the 2024 GOP nomination.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital on Saturday night, Trump celebrated his victory.

“I am honored to have received the largest number of votes in the history of the state. I am currently with Senator Lindsey Graham, who just informed me that we received double the votes compared to the previous record. This is a tremendous compliment to all the people who support making America great again,” Trump told Fox News Digital.

When questioned about whether he desired Nikki Haley to withdraw from the race, Trump responded, “I’m not focused on that… I haven’t thought about it.”

“I’m primarily focused on defeating Joe Biden,” he conveyed to Fox News Digital. “I’m not even certain if she’s truly in the race, because I’ve set records in every state. I’m not sure if she’s really in contention.”

Trump’s triumphs have been notable, from dominating the Iowa Caucuses to securing a decisive victory in New Hampshire, sweeping the caucuses in Nevada and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and achieving a larger victory in South Carolina than he had anticipated.

“I’m deeply honored by the results of the elections,” he remarked. “We are setting records in every state.”

Trump emphasized that Election Day, November 5, “is going to be the most important date, perhaps, in the history of our country.”
