Raymond Lopez shreds ‘racist’ liberal policies
A Democratic leader in Chicago is denouncing the city’s crime response, asserting that innocent individuals are being pursued as if they were prey. Democratic Chicago Mayor Raymond Lopez voiced his concerns on “America Reports” on Tuesday, emphasizing that crimes such as robbery, burglary, arson, assault, and even threats against elected officials like himself no longer result in being held on bond in the state of Illinois.

He argued that criminals are taking notice and growing increasingly bold. In his view, the politicians demanding change remain unresponsive, adhering to a script even when the public refuses to engage. Lopez told US Newzs that voters are recognizing that electing “socialists or ultra-progressives” leads to a leadership that is tone-deaf.
“Common sense necessitates that we begin to take a stand and resist the criminal activities in our communities. We must also hold both individuals and parents accountable, as many times these wrongdoers are as young as 12, 13, or 14 years old, participating in acts like the widespread armed carjackings we are witnessing in the city of Chicago,” Lopez remarked.
“It is regrettable that, as we observed today when the Judiciary Committee visited Chicago, not a single Democrat chose to engage and express their viewpoints or listen to those who are most affected by these issues.”
The alderman emphasized that although some citizens are “voting with their feet” by leaving the crime-ridden city, not everyone has the choice to relocate.
“We have a significant portion of our city, nearly two-thirds, who are unable to do so. They must remain here, and unfortunately, they are the ones who bear the brunt of the frequent violence, especially in the Black and Brown communities,” he elaborated.
Lopez conveyed to US News that residents who are unable to leave the city have reached a point where they’ve grown tired of being disregarded.
“They’ve reached a breaking point. They are frequently mentioned in discussions about the progressive and extremely liberal agenda that supposedly cares for them,” he stated. “However, in my view, their policies, particularly in the realm of police and criminal justice reform, are inherently discriminatory because, all too often, it is the Black and Brown residents themselves, whom the White liberals profess to care about but ultimately don’t. ‘t, that become victims of the most grievous crimes committed by repeat offenders.”
