President Joe Biden cited his hectic schedule when asked on Saturday why he had not yet visited East Palestine, Ohio; Months have passed since the town was destroyed by a train derailment that polluted the environment and polluted water.

Biden assured the audience that the federal government would provide needed resources to East Palestine in the wake of the disaster.

“So it will take some time, but we are making sure that we have what East Palestine needs materially to deal with their problems,” he concluded.

Eastern Palestine was devastated by a derailed freight train on February 3; It emitted toxic chemicals and has caused health and environmental concerns for locals. Although officials assured the public that the town’s air and water were safe; Residents claimed to suffer from nausea, dizziness, and headaches in the days following the disaster.
