“As a Georgia state senator, I am officially calling for an emergency meeting to review the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore said on social media Thursday.

“America is under attack. I am not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors target political opponents,” he added.

Moore also published a letter to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp demanding that he call a special session to address the “actions of Fani Willis.”

“We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia Senate, and in accordance with Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), having 3/5 of each house, hereby certify to you. Writing with a copy to the Secretary of State, In our opinion, there is an emergency in the affairs of state, and for all purposes, including, without limitation, review and response, the establishment of a special session under that section is necessary for Fani Willis’ actions.”

Willis held a press conference late Monday after the former president of a Fulton County grand jury and several others were indicted.

The Georgia district attorney has given Trump and 18 other individuals until the afternoon of August 25 to surrender to law enforcement.

Willis told a press conference that he wants the trial to be completed within six months.

The Trump campaign turned its attention to Willis as a public target after her indictment Monday night, saying her family was “overwhelmed with hate” while drawing attention to her father’s Black Panther ties.

After the charges dropped, Trump’s campaign emailed supporters about the Georgia prosecutor. The message includes quotes from a 2021 Time magazine article and a Fulton County government website.

The campaign wrote that Willis came from a “hate-filled family” and was the “daughter of a former Black Panther,” before referencing the Time magazine piece.

Willis’ office declined to comment when contacted by US Newzs Digital.
