Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon has released her debut music single and revealed her new stage name.
Meet the “Material Girl” 2.0.
Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, released her first musical single this week — following in the footsteps of her pop queen mother with a synth-heavy dance party anthem, reported Us newzs.
The twenty-five-year-old songstress dropped the dreamy, trip-hop tune “Lock&Key” under the stage name Lolahol, along with a steamy music video set in spots around New York City.
In the video, the singer is seen moving on the hood of an SUV vehicle, striking a pose, and interacting with a clean-cut beefcake in a cemetery.
In a scene near the end, she’s seen doing splits on a beach wearing only a fishing net and a tangle of ropes.
Leone, who is also a model, has previously said she has no interest in the music industry because it resembles the career path of her “Vogue” superstar mother.
“As for music, I can sing. I just don’t care. Maybe it’s too close to my home,” she told Interview magazine last year.
But she apparently changed her tune, teaming up on the song with experimental artist Eartheater and composer Samuel Burgess.
Leon, who is Madonna’s daughter with Cuban-born dancer and fitness trainer Carlos Leon, also told the magazine at the time that she was more attracted to dancing than music.
“Dance is part of my life, I have a distinct sense of style, and I’m interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all those elements into my work,” she said.
” want to create a world where models have more agency over their actions and are not just silent clothing racks. “That’s the age we’re entering in the fashion world: models as artists and personalities.,” she said
