The ‘Dynasty’ star donated $50,000 to the victims of the Trump rally shooting on GoFundMe
Actress Catherine Oxenberg, renowned for her role as Amanda Carrington on the 1980s primetime soap opera “Dynasty,” has made a significant contribution to the GoFundMe campaign authorized by former President Donald Trump to aid victims of the recent shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Oxenberg donated $50,000, expressing her deep sympathy for the affected families.
“My heart breaks for the families of the victims and the tragic loss of life. May God bless them and hold them close as they grieve,” Oxenberg wrote alongside her donation. She also shared the GoFundMe link on her official X account.
The GoFundMe campaign, initiated by Meredith O’Rourke, Trump’s national finance director and senior adviser, has raised over $5 million through more than 68,000 donations. The beneficiaries include the family of Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who lost his life shielding his loved ones during the attack.
Another fundraiser, set up by Jason Bubb, owner of the Three Fit Six gym in Cabot, aims to support Comperatore’s daughter, Allyson, who is a regular at the gym. This fundraiser has already garnered over $1.2 million in donations.
“Saturday night, our friend and family member, Allyson, lost her father due to a senseless, tragic act at the Trump rally in Butler,” Bubb wrote on the fundraiser page. “Allyson has been an athlete with us since the beginning. She’s a huge part of our community … if you’re able to support her and her family during this time, we will have a spot for donations at the gym. Additionally, please take the time to sign the cards at the desk.”
Bubb later updated, “Wow. We are over $800k in less than 24 hours. I would say our goal is $1M. Please share with everyone you know. Allyson and family are truly grateful for all your support.”
These fundraisers highlight the widespread community support and generosity in response to the tragic events, providing much-needed assistance to the families affected by the shooting.
